Tuvaijuittuq Marine Protected Area

In collaboration with the Qikiqtani Inuit Association and the Government of Nunavut, we are proudly protecting Canada’s High Arctic.

Tuvaijuittuq – meaning “the place where the ice never melts” – is heavily impacted by climate change and is expected to be one of the last places in the world to retain sea ice year round. This makes it a key refuge for Arctic species such as walruses, seals, and polar bears. Together, we will help conserve this unique habitat for generations to come.
