Privacy disclaimer
The collection of personal information is authorized by section 7(1)(a) and section 70 of the Accessible Canada Act. This personal information is collected by the departmental Accessibility Secretariat. The feedback you provide will be used for developing recommendations for improving accessibility and monitoring progress on Accessibility at our department.
Collection and use of this personal information is in accordance with the Privacy Act. The mechanism is used to collect feedback on our Accessibility Plan, future progress reports, as well as accessibility and barriers to accessibility within the work carried out in our department.
Providing identifiable information such as your name and contact information is optional. Your personal information may be used to contact you including acknowledging feedback provided and responding to questions submitted with feedback. The personal information collected is described in Personal Information Bank PSU 938 entitled Outreach Activities and will be retained for seven (7) years. Under the Privacy Act you have the right of access to, and correction of, your personal information. To exercise either of these rights, contact our ATIP Coordinator. If you are not satisfied with the response to your privacy concern from the Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), you may wish to Contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
