Description
The Atlantic Salmon Endowment Fund was established by a one-time federal grant of $30 million made by Fisheries and Oceans Canada in January 2007. Annual investment revenues generated by Endowment Fund assets are provided to the Atlantic Salmon Conservation Foundation to assist community groups in the restoration, protection, and improved conservation of the Atlantic salmon resource in Atlantic Canada and Québec. This will promote projects in research, conservation, habitat restoration, and enhancement for the attainment of healthy and sustainable wild Atlantic salmon stocks.

Description
The Pacific Salmon Endowment Fund was established by a one-time federal grant of $30 million made by Fisheries and Oceans Canada in February 2001. Annual investment revenues generated by Endowment Fund assets are provided to the Pacific Salmon Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable organization, to undertake activities that support salmon and their habitat.
