Ocean accounts

Ocean accounts are standardized and integrated compilations of activities (i.e. economic activities, social conditions, and environmental conditions) that occur on and in the ocean related to living and non-living components of environment, and the land-based activities that depend on or support them. The development of Ocean Accounts support Canada’s international commitments under the Charlevoix blueprint for healthy oceans, seas and resilient coastal communities and the transformational agenda outlined by the High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy (HLP).
