Indigenous Habitat Participation Program (IHPP) - Contribution Funding: Proposal Form

This form is for applicants to submit a proposal to Fisheries and Oceans Canada's (DFO's) Indigenous Habitat Participation Program (IHPP)

The Indigenous Habitat Participation Program (IHPP) will support Indigenous communities in their efforts to support the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat. More specifically, the IHPP will help Indigenous communities participate in the development of Fisheries and Oceans Canada's (DFO) policies, programs and regulations, and will support the development of technical capacity in inland areas and collaboration to ensure greater involvement in fish and fish habitat conservation and protection efforts across Canada.

Interested applicants must complete the attached proposal form in order to be considered for funding. All sections of the proposal form must be completed to be considered. Should a proposal be selected, applicants will be asked to submit additional technical details as part of the contribution agreement negotiations.

The IHPP provides support through both contributions and grants. This proposal form is to be used for contribution funding only (a separate proposal form is required to apply for grant funding).

Information provided to Fisheries and Oceans Canada will be treated in accordance with the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act. These laws govern, protect and limit the collection, use and disclosure of personal, financial and technical information by federal government departments and agencies.

Please refer to the IHPP Contribution funding proposal guidance document for help developing your proposal.

Note:

Submission of a proposal form does not guarantee funding.

The completed proposal form must be emailed to a DFO regional coordinator to be considered. If you experience any issues submitting your proposal by e-mail, please contact the DFO regional coordinator to make alternate arrangements.

For additional information and assistance, please contact the DFO regional coordinator in the region in which your proposal will take place.
