Notice to fish harvesters: Closing of the Greenland Halibut NAFO Division 0B Fixed Gear Competitive Fishery

Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Arctic Region advises that the Greenland Halibut fixed-gear competitive fishery in NAFO Division 0B will close at 00:01 EDT on July 5th, 2021.
Any catch harvested on July 5 will be counted against a Special Allocation or Enterprise Allocation, or covered via a temporary quota transfer from a Special Allocation or Enterprise Allocation. Licence holders are required to ensure that their vessel operators are aware of this provision.
Licence holders and vessel operators are reminded of the following: While on a fishing trip, any vessel, prior to the removal from a licence’s vessel schedule, must be transferred to a new licence with no breaks in licence coverage.
