Modification to close date for Greenland Halibut in Division 0A for 2023 fishing season

Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Arctic Region advises that a close time for the Greenland Halibut fishery in Division 0A, for vessel classes D200 to D203 and B8 has been modified.  Previously the fishery was set to close on November 11th, and will now close on November 16th. This extension to the close time will only be in effect for the 2023 fishing season. All other close times remain unvaried.

For greater clarity, the Arctic Region GHL Subarea 0 Close Time Variation Order, 2021-007 issued on June 17, 2021 has been revoked and a new variation order Arctic Region GHL Subarea 0 Close Time Variation Order 2023-010 shall come into force on November 11, 2023 and remains in force until December 31, 2023 or until otherwise revoked (see Schedule XXIII Column IV).
