2017 Sea Cucumber (Southwest New Brunswick)

The Sea Cucumber fishery in Southwest New Brunswick occurs in two separate fishing zones:

Zone 1 (“The Passages”):

A small, rectangular area at the mouth of Passamaquoddy Bay.

Zone 2 (“Outside Passages”):

An area along the coast, outside of the bay and around Campobello Island.

Dates of season (subject to change)

The 2017 Sea Cucumber fishery in Southwest New Brunswick operates from January 10th - March 31st.

Zone 1: 1,010t
Zone 2: 360t

The TACs have been stable for both Zone 1 and 2 since 2006, and are based on historical landings.
