Management decision for 2018/19 - Northern Shrimp Fishing Areas (SFAs) 4, 5, 6

Dates of season (subject to change)

SFAs 4 – 6 operate year round, from April 1 – March 31.

Total Allowable Catches

SFA 4

The Total Allowable Catch in SFA 4 borealis will be maintained at 15,725t, which includes a 1,700t allocation for Use of Fish under Section 10 of the Fisheries Act.

The Montagui bycatch limit will remain at the level of 4,033t.

SFA 5

The Total Allowable Catch in SFA 5 will be reinstated at the 2016/17 level of 25,630t.

SFA 6

The Total Allowable Catch in SFA 6 will be reduced by 16.06%% to 8,730t to achieve a 10% exploitation rate.
