Scallop Fishing Area 29 west
The Scallop Fishing Area 29 West (SFA 29 West) scallop fishery occurs off the southwest coast of Nova Scotia from 65° 30′ west to 43° 40′ north.
Dates of season (Subject to change)
The 2018 SFA 29 West fishery operates from June 25 – August 31, 2018.
Total Allowable Catch
The total allowable catch has been set at 130 tonnes for the 2018 fishery with the following quotas for subareas A-E:
- A: 10 tonnes
- B: 0 tonnes
- C: 50 tonnes
- D: 50 tonnes
- E: 20 tonnes
Management Measures
