2022 Offshore Jonah crab (Maritimes Region) – Lobster Fishing Area 41
The offshore Jonah crab fishery occurs in Lobster Fishing Area (LFA) 41, as defined within the Atlantic Fishery Regulations, 1985 (Schedule XIII).
Dates of season (subject to change)
The offshore Jonah crab fishery operates year round, from January 1 to December 31.
Total allowable catch (TAC)
The 2022 TAC for offshore Jonah crab is 270 t.
Management measures
Offshore Jonah crab is managed under the Offshore lobster and Jonah crab Integrated Fisheries Management Plan (IFMP).
