2024 Offshore lobster (Maritimes Region) – Lobster Fishing Area 41
The offshore lobster fishery occurs in Lobster Fishing Area (LFA) 41, as defined within the Atlantic Fishery Regulations, 1985 (Schedule XIII).
Dates of season (subject to change)
The offshore lobster fishery operates year round, from January 1 to December 31.
Total allowable catch (TAC)
A TAC of 720 t has been set for offshore lobster for 2024.
Management measures
The Maritimes Region offshore lobster is managed under the Offshore lobster and Jonah crab Integrated Fisheries Management Plan (IFMP).

The information provided is applicable to the 2024 fishery only.
As the stock is currently in the healthy zone, a three-year quota management cycle is available to licence holders.
