2024/25 – 2026/27 Scotian Shelf Sea Cucumber (4Vs, 4W, and 4X)

The Scotian Shelf sea cucumber fishery occurs along the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia in fishing areas corresponding with Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO) divisions 4Vs, 4W, and 4X.

Dates of season (subject to change)

The Scotian Shelf sea cucumber fishery operates from May 1 to March 31, annually.

Total Allowable Catches (TACs)

Area Controls
4X Inshore Zones 1-5: 100 t
4W Offshore 600 t (with a TAC of 400 t for Zone 1 and 200 t for Zone 2)
4Vs Offshore Areas of Access 1-8: 800 t (with a TAC of 600 t for Area 2)
4W Midshore Zones A-J: 800 t

The Scotian Shelf sea cucumber fishery is managed through current Conservation Harvesting Plans.
