Ocean Partnership Declaration
The Ocean Partnership Declaration was signed at the Canada-EU Summit in Montreal on July 18, 2019. The declaration acknowledges a longstanding history of cooperation on oceans affairs, and commits both parties to:
- collaborate on ocean research and observation efforts
- work together to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing
- build on commitments made during the 2018 G7 Leader’s Summit:
- the Charlevoix Blueprint for Healthy Oceans, Seas and Resilient Coastal Communities
- the Ocean Plastic Charter
- the First Ocean Partnership Forum
