* Since announcing the extension of the Quebec Fisheries Fund in March 2024, the number of applications received exceeds the funds available. Therefore, we regret to inform you that any new project submitted can only be processed if funding becomes available.
Step 1. Overview
The Quebec Fisheries Fund will stimulate innovation in Quebec's fish and seafood sector and support its development.
The fund will support the development of the sector through:
- innovation that encourages new products and technologies
- infrastructure that encourages the use of new technologies or processes to support the sustainable development of the sector
- new science partnerships between industry, academia and other research institutions that will:
- improve knowledge of the impacts of ecosystem changes on commercial fisheries
- support the implementation of sustainable harvesting technologies
Applications can be submitted throughout the fiscal year.
