The front of the postcard contains several horizontal sections showing:

  • the text: aim to protect hard coral, sponges, soft corals: sea pens, other soft corals
  • an illustration of the hard coral Flabellum (Ulocyathus) alabastrum
  • four illustrations of soft corals (sea pens) Anthoptilum grandiflorum, Balticina finmarchica, Ptilella grandis et Pennatula aculeata
  • two illustrations of other soft corals: Duva florida et le Gersemia rubiformis
