Context
The status of Striped Shrimp (Pandalus montagui) in Shrimp Fishing Area (SFA) 4 was assessed using a multi-indicator approach and a limit reference point (LRP) was identified in 2023. In January 2022, a stock status update was completed for Striped Shrimp in SFA 4 (DFO 2022).
Resource Management has requested the current update as the basis for harvest advice for the 2024/25 fishing season.
Objectives
The objectives are to review indicators for Striped Shrimp in SFA 4 as follows:
- Update landings
- Update biomass indices
- Update exploitation rate indices
- Update stock health indicators
