Arctic Region Variation Order 2024-011

The Regional Director General of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada for the Arctic Region, pursuant to paragraph 43(m) of the Fisheries Act and to subsection 6(l) of the Fishery (General) Regulations, hereby revokes Arctic Region Variation Order No. 2024-005 for the closed seasons for commercial fishing in certain waters of Great Slave Lake, issued on March 13, 2024 and makes the annexed Order varying the closed seasons for commercial fishing in certain waters of Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories.

Order varying the closed seasons for commercial fishing in certain waters of great slave lake in the Northwest Territories

Short title

  1. This Order may be cited as the Arctic Region Variation Order 2024-011.

Variation

  1. The closed seasons for commercial fishing in certain waters of Great Slave Lake as set out in Column IV of each item in Schedule V to the Northwest Territories Fishery Regulations is hereby varied to that set out in Column IV of that item in the Schedule attached to this Order.

Coming into force

  1. This Order shall come into force 20 September, 2024 and remains in force, unless otherwise revoked.
