WMO Code Tables

WMO maintains sets of code tables for BUFR (Binary Universal Form for the Representation of meteorological data) and alphanumeric forms.

The code tables used in alphanumeric forms are published in WMO Publication 306, "Manual on Codes", Volume I.1, part A, section C.b.

The code tables used in BUFR are published in WMO Publication 306, "Manual on Codes", Volume I.2, part B, section b. The codes are additionally available in machine-readable format at the WMO website.
