Conditional Management Plan summary for Lamèque, New Brunswick
This document provides a description of the shellfish growing area that is managed under a Conditional Management Plan (CMP) for Lamèque (NB). It also describes the detection, notification and response (DNR) times needed for parties to fulfill their CMP roles when sewage is discharged from the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) system.

Area classification description
Shellfish harvest areas near the WWTP are divided into zones based on how intermittent sewage discharge from the WWTP will impact the sanitary quality of the water. Harvesting activities in these zones are classified as either:
- prohibited
- restricted
- conditionally restricted
- conditionally approved

Conditionally restricted
The waters of the Lamèque Bay inside the lines drawn from grid coordinates 47.78893 N, 64.63775 W to 47.79523 N, 64.63826 W.
Conditionally approved
The waters of the Lamèque Bay, inside the lines drawn from grid coordinates 47.77392 N, 64.66326 W to 47.78594 N, 64.68193 W at Pointe Alexandre and from 47.80072 N, 64.66202 W to 47.78657 N, 64.66098 W to 47.78692 N, 64.63781 W.
