Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s service performance reporting for grants and contributions
Service standards for our grants and contributions programs state the level of performance applicants and recipients can reasonably expect under normal circumstances. The service standards are:
- timely acknowledgement of our receipt of an application or proposal
- notification of the funding decision
- requisition for payment
- based on the date of issue of a Grant Agreement
- once the requirements have been fulfilled as outlined in the signed Contribution Agreement
A payment is processed within 10 days of the requisition for payment.
Achieving these service standards is a shared responsibility between recipients and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO). Recipients must:
- complete all required documentation
- submit this documentation according to each program's instructions
If we are unable to meet our service standard timelines, we will inform recipients about the delay.
