Recreational fishing

Information on recreational fisheries activities in Canada is based on the results of the Survey of Recreational Fishing in Canada conducted every five years by DFO, in cooperation with all regional, provincial and territorial fisheries licensing agencies. This section includes the complete Canada-wide survey results as well as information extrapolated from the Ontario portion of the survey providing survey results for recreational fishing activities for the Canadian-side of the Great Lakes fishery. In this section complete reports for the 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2015 surveys are presented.
