Executive Director, Canadian Coast Guard College

Brian LeBlanc held various Officer positions on Canadian Coast Guard vessels.

In 1993, based on career aspirations, he accepted shore positions, first in Newfoundland and Labrador Region and then in National Headquarters, Ottawa. He held a variety of positions in Operations, the Icebreaking Program, Search and Rescue (SAR) Program and in Risk Management.

He moved to Maritimes Region, Halifax, in 2003 as the Superintendent Operational Business. From June 2005 to June 2006, Brian was Maritimes Region’s Director, Operational Services.

Brian was appointed Regional Director, Fleet for Central and Arctic Region, Sarnia, Ontario, in 2006. There he was responsible for Coast Guard Fleet operations on the Great Lakes and throughout the Canadian Arctic.

In August 2012, he returned to the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney Nova Scotia as the Executive Director. He is an active member of the Canadian Coast Guard’s Management Board.
