Senior General Counsel and Head of Legal Services

Stephen Sharzer is the Senior General Counsel and Head of the Fisheries and Oceans Canada Legal Services Unit, which is part of the Department of Justice. He joined the Department of Justice in 1984 where he worked successively in the Human Rights Law Section, the Office of the Legal Advisor to the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces, and Employment and Social Development Legal Services. Stephen was appointed as the Head of Fisheries and Oceans Legal Services in 2014.
