Summary
The fifth meeting of the Canadian Eel Science Working Group was held in Montréal on 3-5 October 2007. Meeting delegates represented the Provinces of Ontario and Quebec and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, who share jurisdiction over American eels in Canada, other Canadian and US agencies, and the eel industry. Participants examined current and planned research and monitoring projects on eels, and reviewed developments in eel conservation and management.
