Assessment of the Stimpson’s surfclam (Mactromeris polynyma) fishery in the Quebec’s inshore waters in 2011

Abstract
This document presents the index used for the Quebec’s inshore waters Stimpson’s surfclam stocks assessment following the 2011 fishing season. This regional peer review process was held on February 9, 2012 at the Maurice Lamontagne Institute in Mont-Joli. During this meeting, the assembly reviewed the status of the stocks commercially exploited in the Quebec Region. This research document presents methodologies and data used during the review for the fishery statistics, the commercial catches sampling and the research projects.
