Assessment on the Québec inshore waters scallop stocks in 2015: data from commercial fishery, research surveys, and exploratory fishing

Abstract
The scallop stock status assessment is done every three years. This document presents the commercial fishery indicators used for the assessment of Québec inshore waters scallops stocks following the 2013-2015 fishing seasons. The document includes methodologies, commercial fishery statistics, data for the calculation of exploitation rate and from the sampling of commercial catches. The conservation approach used in Îles-de-la-Madeleine (Subarea 20A) is described. The results of various research surveys and exploratory fisheries conducted since 2000 are also presented.
