Context

The status of Divisions 2HJ3KLNO, Subdivision 3Ps and Division 4R snow crab were assessed in 2011.  The current assessment of these stocks is requested by Fisheries and Aquaculture Management to provide current information on the status of the resource and provide the data that will be used in the 2012 Snow Crab Management Plan.

Objectives

• To assess the status of snow crab stocks: Divisions 2HJ3KLNO, Subdivision 3Ps, and Division 4R
• To review the utility of small-meshed traps within the post-season trap survey.
