Context

Annual updates of adult returns of Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) were provided for the 2014 to 2017 assessment years (DFO 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018). DFO Fisheries and Aquaculture Management Branch requested an update of the adult indicators of Atlantic Salmon for the Miramichi River (NB) in Salmon Fishing Area 16 for 2018 by the end of the calendar year 2018.

Objective

The objective of the meeting is to review the indicators of returns and spawners of adult Atlantic Salmon to the two main branches (Northwest Miramichi and Southwest Miramichi) and to the Miramichi River overall to 2018.
