Summary
This document contains the proceedings from the meeting held within the regional assessment process on softshell clam in the Quebec coastal waters in Quebec region following the 2007 fishing season. This advisory process was held on November 20, 2007 at the Maurice-Lamontagne Institute in Mont-Joli. During this meeting, the assembly reviewed the stock status of the softshell clam in the Quebec coastal waters exploited by both commercial and recreational fishery as well as certain environmental parameters that prevailed during the last fishing seasons. Therefore, these proceedings contain the essential parts of the presentations and discussions held and relate the main recommendations and conclusions that were presented during the review.
