Summary of commercial landings of selected species in 4Tg and 4Vn from 1986 to 2000

Abstract

Data from Statistics Branch were used to provide seasonal location of fishing effort and catches for nine commercial groundfish species and herring in Canadian Statistical Units 4Tfg in the southern Gulf of St. Lawrence and NAFO Subdivision 4VN from 1986 to 2000. Sentinel Fishery catches in lined nets, from 1996 to 2000, provided information about distribution of small (less than legal size) fish for several of these species.
