Atlantic Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative

The Atlantic Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative (AICFI) was announced in 2007 and aims to ensure that Mi'kmaq and Maliseet First Nations in the Maritimes and Gaspé Region of Quebec have the capabilities to manage and maximize access to the integrated commercial fishery that has been provided through the Marshall Response Initiative.

Pacific Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative (PICFI)

Announced in 2007, PICFI is aimed at achieving environmentally sustainable and economically viable commercial fisheries, where conservation is the first priority and First Nations' aspirations to be more involved are supported.
