Canadian Integrated Ocean Observing System

The Canadian Integrated Ocean Observing System (CIOOS) is a web-based platform that will bring together existing ocean observation data, programs and projects, and provide timely access to a range of ocean information.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada has contributed over $4.5 million in funding towards CIOOS to improve coordination and collaboration among the ocean research community. This funding helps promote sharing of data and expertise to better understand, monitor and manage activities in Canada's oceans.
