5. What to expect after you apply

Regional Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Fund program coordinators will confirm receipt of an application within 5 working days.

Applications will then be evaluated.

Funding decisions will be communicated to all applicants by December 14, 2023.

Either full or partial proposals may be supported financially, rejected or added to an overprogramming list. A proposal on the overprogramming list may be considered if funding becomes available. 

We reserve the right to determine which projects will be funded.

There is no formal appeal process for rejected projects.

Should a project not be approved, applicants may seek further feedback from regional program coordinators (see below).

Following the confirmation of a successful application a formal contribution agreement will be negotiated. The contribution agreement must be in place before funding can be received.

Successful projects from this call for proposals are scheduled to start April 1, 2024 at the earliest.
